THE COOK AMENDMENT WOULD REINSTATE IN THE ACT A PROVISION EXEMPTING SMALL RETAIL ESTABLISHMENTS WHICH MAKE OR PROCESS ANY PART OF THE GOODS THEY SELL (E.G, BAKERS) FROM MINIMUM WAGE AND OVERTIME PROVISIONS. THE WILLIAMS AMENDMENT WOULD ELIMINATE THIS EXEMPTION.
