THE PREYER AMENDMENT WOULD DELAY THE EFFECTIVE DATE OF THE AUTO EMISSION STANDARDS UNTIL 1980 AND WOULD OFFER A WAIVER OF CERTAIN STANDARDS FOR VEHICLES OF A GROSS WEIGHT OF 3,000 POUNDS OR MORE. REPRESENTATIVE BROWN, MICH. ANNOUNCED ON JUNE 21, 1977 THAT HE WAS INCORRECTLY RECORDED AS VOTING "YES" ON THIS ROLL CALL. HIS VOTE IN OUR FILES HAS SUBSEQUENTLY BEEN CHANGED FROM A "YES" TO AN "ANNOUNCED NO", AND THE VOTE TOTALS SHOWN IN THE CODEBOOK REFLECT THIS CHANGE.
