TO AGREE TO A MODFIED AMENDMENT TO H.R. 5383 THAT WOULD DELETE LANGUAGE IN THE BILL THAT EXEMPTS TENURED ELEMENTARY AND SECONDARY SCHOOL TEACHERS FROM THE PROVISIONS OF THIS BILL. THE ORIGINAL CRANSTON AMENDMENT WAS TO DELETE LANGUAGE THAT EXEMPTED TENURED ELEMENTARY AND SECONDARY SCHOOL TEACHERS, TENURED PROFESSORS, AND BUSINESS EXECUTIVES WITH A HIGH PENSION.
