TO TABLE THE KENNEDY AMENDMENT TO H.R. 6685, A BILL PROVIDING URGENT SUPPLEMENTAL APPROPRIATIONS FOR THE FISCAL YEAR ENDING SEPTEMBER 30, 1982 FOR THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT. THIS BILL CONTAINED ONLY THE MOST URGENTLY NEEDED FUNDS FOR AGENCIES WHOSE APPROPRIATIONS WOULD LIKELY RUN OUT WHILE CONGRESS WAS ON RECESS. THE BILL ALSO INCLUDES THE $3,000 TAX DEDUCTION FOR MEMBERS OF CONGRESS. THE KENNEDY AMENDMENT IS TO PROVIDE ADDITIONAL FUNDS FOR THE SUMMER YOUTH PROGRAM. (MOTION PASSED)
