THE BEDELL AMENDMENT PROVIDES REFORMS IN THE DEFENSE PROCUREMENT SYSTEM, INCLUDING THE PROCESS OF ACQUIRING AND MANAGING SPARE PARTS, INCREASING COMPETITION IN CONTRACTING, ANNUAL REPORTS ON THE MANAGEMENT OF THE ACQUISITION OF SUPPLIES, AND CHANGES CONCERNING PROPRIETARY CONTROL OVER SPARE PARTS DESIGN.
