THE RESULT OF CLOSING ROUTE 209 WOULD BE INCREASED COMMERCIAL TRAFFIC AND A POTENTIAL LOSS OF WELL-BEING TO CERTAIN COMMUNITIES IN NEW YORK AND NEW JERSEY. THE BRADLEY AMENDMENT WOULD BAN SUCH PROVISIONS TO ALLOW TIME FOR A THREE-STATE CONVENTION (PENNSYLVANIA, NEW YORK AND NEW JERSEY) TO ADDRESS THE REGIONAL DIMENSION OF THE PROBLEM AND COME UP WITH A REGIONAL SOLUTION.
