IN THE BILL MULTI-YEAR PRODUCTION PROGRAMS CALL FOR THE ACCELERATION OF THE PRODUCTION RATE TO 4 AIRCRAFT PER MONTH--THAT IS, 48 PER YEAR--IN FISCAL YEAR 1986. PRODUCTION OF THE B-1B BOMBER WOULD PEAK IN 1988, AND WOULD BE TERMINATED IN THAT YEAR. THE NUNN REVISED APPROACH CALLS FOR 3 PER MONTH, ALLOWING PRODUCTION TO PEAK AT 36 PER YEAR IN 1986 AND TERMINATE IN 2 YEARS. (MOTION PASSED)
