TO TABLE THE DIXON AMENDMENT TO THE DOLE, KS)-BYRD, WV) SUBSTITUTE TO HR 5484, THE ANTI-DRUG ABUSE ACT, WHICH WOULD PROVIDE THAT THE PRESIDENT SHALL DEPLOY EQUIPMENT AND PERSONNEL OF THE ARMED FORCES TO ADDRESS THE UNLAWFUL PENETRATION OF UNITED STATES BORDERS BY AIRCRAFT AND VESSELS CARRYING NARCOTICS, THROUGH THE USE OF PURSUIT AIRCRAFT, RADAR COVERAGE, AND WITH THE USE OF NATIONAL GUARD AND RESERVES.
